Woodcreek is a large, family-friendly community in Roseville. Spanning over several blocks, commercial centers and neighborhoods, it is a bustling center of activity, with a large park, aquatic center, high school, and golf course.
The area is defined by Woodcreek High School and Woodcreek Golf Club, with at least three additional courses just blocks away (Timber Creek, Sierra Pines and Diamond Oaks). Nestled between the golf course and high school is Roseville Aquatics Center and Mahany Park. The aquatics center is one of the most popular pools in the county, making Woodcreek the place to be on warm summer afternoons. The center is home to an Olympic-sized competition pool; zero-depth recreation pool with beach entry; 150-foot-waterslide; and children’s interactive water play area. Programs include a swim team, family night swimming, swim lessons, and water polo.
Just around the corner is Mahany Park, a 225-acre mecca of all parks, designed to be enjoyed by kids, teens, adults and even the dogs. In addition to a playground (which is universally accessible for kids of all abilities), the park is also home to a sports center (with cardio and weights room, fitness coaches, climbing wall and child care); an all-weather field; lighted softball and baseball complex; youth fields; tennis courts; and batting cages. The two-acre Bear Dog Park is also on-site, offering areas for both large and small dogs. All in all, Mahany Park is the epicenter of Woodcreek – a gathering place for families and pretty much anyone interested in staying fit or having fun.
The park also includes large open area with creek-side bikeways. Bike paths can be found throughout the area, connecting the various parks, fields, and neighborhoods, which consist of upper middle class homes, townhomes, and apartment complexes.
Even with Roseville’s main shopping draws just miles away (The Fountains, Westfield Galleria, Costco, REI), the Woodcreek area is complete with grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, and salons.
